Term-A-Rid 613® History When applied to wood, Term-A-Rid 613® kills termite populations by killing the protozoa which live in the digestive system of every termite. These protozoa are the only means of termite digestion, allowing the termite to break down cellulose to absorb nutrients from the wood the termite consumes. The more Term-A-Rid 613® the termite eats, the more it starves. Since worker termites bring the food for other members of the population, those being fed by the worker termites can also be affected. The termite colony is reduced as other termites feed on the wood and/or the dead termites. Termarid, LLC Term-A-Rid 613® termite controlling, color enhanced
premium mulch may be used around plants, however, not directly on
the root systems of sensitive plants or any body of water. The use
of currently registered pesticide products containing boric acid and
its sodium salts, such as Term-A-Rid 613®, in accordance with
approved labeling has not been shown to pose unreasonable risks or
adverse effects to humans or the environment. |
